For the inaugural review on my new blog, I’ve chosen an entirely fun product: a Halloween-themed Wallflower Plug from Bath & Body Works!
They’ve released some really adorable Wallflower plugs this fall, but I restricted myself to just one autumn-themed plug and one Halloween-themed plug.
Browsing the Halloween-themed options at my local store, I was all ready to purchase the “Fancy Bats” nightlight plug:
Lookit their adorable li’l faces! They remind me so much of one of my favorite Sesame Street sketches: “1-2-3, Doing the Batty Bat!”
Then I saw the “Spooky House” nightlight plug and the cute, flocked velvet bats went straight back onto the shelf. The Count was forgotten. Sorry, plush bats.
No way my two-year old was not gonna love this:
He’s been watching Halloween-related children’s videos on YouTube Kids since the summer, so he knows all about Halloween, pumpkins, black cats, ghosts, and bats. Just the other week, he asked me to Google “zombies” (which I did not do! I’ve seen a bit of Walking Dead and I know what’s gonna show up!). When I showed him the new “Spooky House” plug, he was delighted and had a lot of fun pointing out all the Halloween characters on it. He even spotted the tiny spider in one of the windows.
This Halloween Plug is also a nightlight, so the little orange windows all light up when it’s plugged in! I can’t recommend it enough. Where else are you going to find such a cute nightlight, let alone one that scents the air?
This plug retails for CA$15.50, and I used a 20% off coupon (just sign up for Bath & Body Works’ emails to get weekly deals, which usually range from 20–30% discounts) and ended up paying $12.40. They also have a 100% guarantee on their products, so hang onto your receipts for Wallflowers Plugs, just in case!
I also picked up a bunch of the Fragrance Refills, since I had 30% off and 20% off coupons which I used in two separate shopping trips. Here’s the haulage:
Berry Pumpkin Strudel
Sweet Blueberry, Pumpkin Spice, Puff Pastry
Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte
Pumpkin Latte, Toasted Marshmallow, Creamy Sandalwood
Red Delicious Apple, Fall Pumpkin, Fresh Ground Cinnamon, Clove Bud
Pumpkin French Toast
Warm Maple Syrup, Pumpkin Spice, Caramelized Brown Sugar
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles
Indulge in delicious, warm pumpkin pecan waffles drenched in pure maple syrup and sprinkled with brown sugar
Creamy Pumpkin, Vanilla Crème, Fresh Ground Nutmeg, Graham Cracker Crust
Fresh Sage, Juniperberry, Aromatic Eucalyptus
Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin
Harvest Pumpkin, Spiced Clove, Vanilla Cream
Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow
Creamy Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, Homemade Marshmallow, Drizzled Caramel
Bath & Body Works really did go crazy on the pumpkin…but I love pumpkin and pumpkin spice, so I can’t get enough!
I’ve had the Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Refill plugged in all week, and it smells wonderful! I think it’s my favorite scent so far, particularly since I find the Refill scents wildly inconsistent in terms of strength. Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte is lovely, as not only does it smell good, but also it’s not too overpowering nor too weak. Every time I walk by, I always think someone’s been wearing lovely perfume. I’m pretty sure it’s the sandalwood base of the scent that makes it seem especially perfume-y. It’s gorgeous and I think I should probably run back to Bath & Body Works to see if I can pick up a Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte candle or lotion before they discontinue the fall scents and start stocking the shelves with Christmas-themed merchandise.
That said, bring on the winter holiday Plugs and fragrances, too!
